Bonfire Help

Jul 31, 2018

West Yorkshire Scouts are looking to find interested Scout Groups to help out with our very successful annual Bradley Wood Bonfire.

This year we are looking to extend the opportunity of helping us put on this event, to scout groups from throughout the West Yorkshire County Scout area.

The event is always held on the 5th November and attracts around 1500 people to the campsite for the fire and fireworks. You would need to be available and on site from 5.45pm and the evening finishes at around 9.30pm after the public has gone home.

In return for your help, the campsite will make a charitable donation to the scout group in question.

It is the perfect way to raise funds for a special trip, a cause you are supporting or just the chance to help out with the day to day running of your scout group.

We are looking to put a team of interested groups together before the 21st of September. You will then be invited to a couple of planning meetings before actually helping on the event.

We will also consider providing a space for Scout Groups from the County who just want to run a fundraising stall during the evening.

If you are interested in either of these options and want more details then please contact Peter Whitworth on either 01484 715858 or by email to manager@bradleywood.org.uk.
