Climbing and High Ropes Training
If you've ever fancied being a Climbing Instructor or wanted to instruct on the Bradley Wood High Ropes Course then now is the chance to earn your qualification.
The Climbing Course runs on a Thursday night over a 5 week period starting on the 9th March 2017
Weeks 1 to 4 are based on the Bradley Wood Wall whilst week 5 runs at the Leeds Wall
Once you've completed your training then you have the chance to consolidate your skills before being assessed for your Scout Association Leadership Permit for Climbing.
The course is run by the West Yorkshire County Scout Climbing Team/Assessors and costs £45 per person.
The High Ropes Course runs on the weekend of the 22nd to 23rd April 2017.
You will learn how to set up and rescue on the high ropes course, as well as being taught the skills to run each of the different elements with a group of Young People.
It is desirable to be a competent climber before coming on the course, as basic climbing skills are not taught as part of this training. Ideally you will have either a leadership or personal permit climbing qualification.
The course is run by the West Yorkshire County Scout Climbing Team and costs £45 per person.
